zero to one hundred
whiney waffles of a slightly delirious individual
These illness symptoms really ramped up from zero to a hundred in no time at all. One day it’s just a slight tickle in your throat. One day turns into two. Two becomes three, and before you know it, you’ve become accustomed to the perpetual state of slight discomfort. An affinity has formed over the month it has spent keeping you company. You almost forget things are not as they should be. Almost…
Then things escalate from zero to a hundred.
Now your entire throat is on fire, you can barely sleep. You body flares up with heat every thirty minutes. Even the headaches have come to play.
Ahh, the headaches. Your old friends. They’ve been in hiding for so long that you’d forgotten about them. Forgotten what it is like to be grace with the pleasure of their company. Forgotten the zest, the extra spice, they sprinkle on your life. The headaches, man.
And to think, today was the day I was going to start implementing some good habits. I am still trying to right now. There’s no way I can go to the gym, but I did manage to get up and put on my trainers, so that is a start. I have something to build upon. That’s good, right?
Man, I feel terrible, but adult gotta adult. Ife, do the bare minimum today, just try to get by.
This is what my antisocial, autistic ass gets for being a social butterfly all weekend.
I hope you are hearing this Baba God, please ensure my work load is light. Alleviate my burden, for I am a wuss. A wimp. A whiny child. I cannot hack this state of ailment with the full brunt of my employment responsibilities. Woe is me.
Actually, Jesus, while I’ve got you here, just heal me please. Sooner rather than later. Allow me to get a GP appointment, and also finally register at a local practice. My guy, the notorious G.O.D. I know you can do far more than I could ever fathom or imagine, and you are a loving and caring father, wanting the best for His children. I am not at my best right now so please help a sister out.
(Why am I now writing like I’m American? I do not speak like this. Let’s blame it on the illness)
Anywho, let’s wrap up this whiny tangent. Moral of the story, register for the GP in good time when relocating, and deal with smaller symptoms before things decide to escalate from zero to a hundred over night.
